EP Austin 10-0 !!!!!
EP Austin will make a good run in the playoffs they have a great offense and a very stingy defense. They should get past bi-district opponent EP Parkland . This would set up a match up against San Angelo Lakeview or Dumas. Any thougts and what would be a possible site if they end up playing San Angelo Lakeview? Im thinking EP Austin makes it to the 3rd round and maybe even the 4th round in the Division 2 region 1 bracket. There only threat I can think of in this bracket is Everman and Aledo and they should be facing each other in the 2nd round.

How good is Dumas this year ? I know Austin has a balanced attack on both offense and defense. They had a tuff schedule and there still 10-0. IF they do play Dumas where would the neutral site be ?

Dumas has had an up and down season, but made the playoffs out a tough district. Neutral site would probably be at Midland or Odessa. 4A EP teams just have never impressed me in the playoffs. I remember Pampa playing a 11-0 Riverside team a few years back and won by 3 touchdowns, and Pampa was the #3 seed, (#2 in Division II) in 3-4A. Not trying to compare those teams, but just an example... Has Austin played outside of EPISD? Honestly, I really don't know much about them...

The 4-5A powers in EL Paso last 3 to 4 years have been EP Chapin , EP Canutillo and EP Austin... Chapin has made it to the 3rd round twice and Austin is 22-1 since the begining of last year. they lost in the area round to Lubbock Estacado. They return most of there players from last year they have only lost that one game in the past 22 games including non-district and the playoffs. Austin and Chapin are the teams too beat this year along with Canutillo in the playoffs. Austin beat both of them this year and Parkland who they play in the bi-district round. Austin hasa strong running game which carried them last year. However they passing game has come along this year along with there running game... There QB and running back are a good threat in the backfield

Those records are great, and this year could be different. I don't think that you can compare, though, the records of the teams from 3-4A and 4-4A to those in 1-4A and 2-4A. I think the competition (from top to bottom) is tougher in the panhandle, than out in EP.

Oh well ! It does not matter anyway... Austin lost a close game to Parkland last night 44 - 41...
