We just got back from a soccer game here in Volgograd, Russia and watched a 1-1 tie between hometown Rotors and the Taganrog City.
While not very strong this year, this Volgograd team has some great history! In 1996 the Rotors played Manchester United in the UEFA Cup to a 0-0 tie in Volgograd. The second game was a 2-2 tie that moved the Rotors to the next level because the Rotors were playing on their home stadium. In the next round they lost to Nant, a French team.
As my Russian friends remind me, soccer is the "real" football!
Wooly Bully
Like the curtains up top. Reminds me a little of the 08' Olympics in China.
