I will be MIA at times over the next few months
To everyone out here I will be missing in action for the next several months as we try to get ahead in college funding. I am now going to be working wn evening job at the dreaded Wally world on the westside of Odessa. We do not want to have the kiddos to have to take out any student loans, unless absolutely neccasary, and with 1 in College now as a Freshman at A&M and the other one either here at UTPB, Tech, WT A&M, Howard Payne or Tarleton State next year it is now time to make as much extra as we can possibly make. I will still be on some in the mornings Mon.-Fri, but hardly any after that. I do at least have my priorities right I have off Friday nights, for my HS football fix.

Make sure those kiddos put in a worthy effort also. I remember working those Summers ( day after arriving back from College to the last day before heading back off) and working the holidays, ie Thanksgiving week and Christmas Holidays.
I earned a vested interest in my future earning that Pharmacist degree.
Hate to see you will be absent, but we all understand what it takes to get the job done.

Comment by dpbronc on October 14, 2008 at 6:28am - Thankfully, the one at A&M just got first grade reports and has a 3.9 right now. He is a Freshman and is taking Accounting, which he should be taking next year and is carrying a 92 average in it and is number 7 in that class and is the only freshman in the top 50. He has to get it from his momma, dad can barely afford to pay attention.

- Well, the a will not be happening with Wally world as they are not able to quite grasp that I have a daytime job and can and will not work until 11pm or 12 am. What really gets me is that they are so short handed but are so unwilling to work with people. So I will be looking for an evening job with reasonable hours.

Comment by Mama Dinka on October 21, 2008 at 12:08am - Hey dp~ Make sure that your son (who has a 3.9 )turns over a copy of his grades to the insurance company each semester - it will knock off some $$ on the premium as long as he continues....It saved us $70 each bill!!
